About me

My name’s Karen McIntyre and I established My Red House Childminding in September 2007. I live in North Horsham in a spacious detached house with a large garden and a gorgeous bright playroom. I share our house with my husband who works in the airline industry and our two young children who are 4 and 2 years old.

My Background

I have 20 years experience in the early years field and have worked in international schools in Munich, Hanoi, London and Singapore. After returning to the UK in 2004, I worked as a project manager overseeing the training and development of many childcare students and early years professionals.

My Qualifications

I am a qualified Nursery Nurse, Montessori Teacher, hold a CELTA certificate from The British Council in Singapore and have an MA – in Teaching English to Young Learners from The University of York.
